About You
- Proven experience as a welder/boilermaker
- Proficiency in various welding techniques
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Familiarity with welding equipment, tools and machinery.
- Knowledge of different types of metals, their properties, and suitable welding methods.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to follow them strictly.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
About the Role
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements and determine the appropriate fabrication methods.
- Selecting and preparing materials, such as metal plates, pipes, or structural components, for fabrication by cutting, grinding, or shaping them.
- Operating various tools and equipment, including welding machines, gas torches, shears, presses, and drills, to perform fabrication tasks.
- Applying welding techniques, such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW/MIG), to join metal components securely.
- Assembling metal parts using welding, bolting, or riveting methods, ensuring proper alignment and structural integrity.
- Conducting inspections and quality checks on completed work to verify adherence to specifications and industry standards.
- Conducting repairs, modifications, or maintenance tasks on existing metal structures, equipment, or products.
- Collaborating with engineers, designers, or other team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues, offer suggestions, and contribute to the improvement of fabrication processes.
- Adhering to safety procedures, following safety guidelines, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Maintaining fabrication tools, equipment, and workspaces, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, advancements in fabrication techniques, and safety regulations.
- Full time / $35.50 - $38.00/hour + Overtime
