Pressure Welder

Relocation assistance may be an option for the right candidates relocating to Kalgoorlie to work in our state-of-the-art facility located at 5 Kakarra Road, West Kalgoorlie WA and onsite at mining operations as required. 

We currently have three full-time and permanent positions available. We are seeking trade qualified Pressure Welders to join our team at OCEANCROSS PTY LTD trading as ABBA Engineering to assemble, weld and repair pressure vessels and pipes. Attractive rates based on level of experience, flexible working conditions and potential for career progression available to the right candidates. 

• Pressure Welder duties including use of grinding, cutting (friction and Gas cutting), welding (GMAW, TIG, stick), polishing, Cropping, Pressing, Heat Treatment, Stress Relieving of Steels and Poly Welding
• Aligns parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• Completion of Job Cards, Timesheets and site required paperwork
• Maintain and use of plant and equipment as designated
• General Cleaning of plant and equipment, as well as worksites

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES   

• Pressure Welder Qualification
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
• ASME 9 Welding Experience 
• Pressure Welding Experience
• Confined Space – desirable 
• Working at Heights – desirable
• Australian Driver’s Licence – essential 
• National Police Clearance – essential 
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening. - essential
• Previous shutdown and site experience would be highly advantageous
• Forklift, High Risk Elevated Work Platform, Dogging/Rigging license (advantageous)
• Keen eye for detail and demonstrated commitment to safety – essential.
• Minimum of 2 years experience.

REMUNERATION

The annual remuneration guide is from $82,000.00 – $100,000.00 plus superannuation based on experience for Pressure Welders.
