The Gippsland Region Public Health Unit led by Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) are looking for a Prevention and Population Health Officer to join the GRPHU team full time or part time, on an ongoing basis.

You’ll play a vital role within the GRPHU to support the team in achieving outcomes and optimising public health outcomes for the community, and love the difference you can make every day you come to work.

You may already have experience in a similar role or could be looking for the next step in your career – either way you’ll be well supported by our welcoming and dedicated Prevention and Population Health team.

Reporting to the Prevention and Population Health Lead, this role plays an important role inidentifying priorities for health promotion, primaryprevention and early intervention to achieve outcomes consistent withthe VictorianPublicHealth andWellbeingOutcomesFramework.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the principles and practices of Population Health, health promotion and chronic disease prevention;
• Contribute to the development of place-based health promotion projects including evaluation and monitoring 
• Participate in and contribute to the development of improved Population Health in the region by working with key stakeholders 
• Be able to effectively communicate and apply problem solving skills

 In this position, the successful applicant will be working closely with existing Central Gippsland stakeholders across the Baw Baw and Latrobe catchment, the GRPHU regional teams and the community.
