About the role
The Project Officer - Healthy Ageing position will work on across the Healthy Ageing Program to develop, coordinate, and manage projects for WVPHN.
The Project Officer will be responsible for supporting key documentation and actions to enable timely delivery of project outcomes. The Project Officer will be pivotal in enhancing and supporting teams within the PHN, where needs arise, on all aspects of project management.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with Residential Aged Care Homes (RACHs) and other key stakeholders within western Victoria, which will require regular travel across the region.
Duties include:
- Support the Healthy Ageing team with the development, implementation, monitoring, delivery, and evaluation of all aspects of the projects, including reporting.
- Support the documentation of project risks, assumptions, issues, dependency, and decisions, and document delegations for action.
- Support the Healthy Ageing team to manage contracts with commissioned providers within the Healthy Ageing program.
- Provide tailored support and coaching to participating RACHs using face-to-face visits and online engagement to deliver a positive and engaging experience.
- Support the Healthy Ageing team to coordinate and manage all aspects of stakeholder engagement and communications.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in supporting or delivering projects (within the health and community services sector is desirable)
- Excellent administrative and communication skills, including writing and maintaining project documentation using Microsoft software, and experience working and communicating with diverse groups of people.
- High level organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet multiple deadlines on time.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that are solution focused.
