About The Role
This is a great opportunity for a recent Graduate to build up your career and skills with a well-established Defence Prime. You will assist in preparing the pricing and estimating response for bids, proposals and tenders for Rheinmetall Defence Australia.
As the Pricing Graduate, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Prepare the pricing of bids, proposals and tenders;
- Provide support to the pricing team on major proposals;
- Provide direct input into tender responses taking into account cost recovery, profit levels and cash flow requirements;
- Assist Proposal Leads in the preparation of win-price analysis to support competitive bid, proposal and tender pursuits;
- Review new work for risk has been priced appropriately;
- Support in the preparation of Price and Delivery Schedules, Payment Plans and Price Variation Formulas in accordance with the guidelines set in the Customer’s Request for Tender;
- Support project commercial functions in the preparation of Survey and Quotes and assist Proposal Leads in Contract Change Proposals;
- Develop and document pricing and estimating policies and procedures;
- Support continuous improvement in developing and maintaining pricing and estimating tools and templates such as ProPricer and excel pricing templates; and
- Support continuous operational improvements within the finance team, including identifying ways to better leverage the systems, improving the speed and automation of financial data capture, reconciliation, reporting and analysis.
The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related disciplines;
- Experience in pricing principles;
- Experience in project costing and financial analysis and development of financial reports and analysis;
- Knowledge of costing/management accounting practices;
- Experience working with a range of ERP systems across Finance, BI, data analytics and/ or planning and performance management is highly desirable;
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills;
- Demonstrated high level of personal motivation and willingness to learn;
- High attention to detail;
- Strong time management skills;
- Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with a wide range of Stakeholders; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
