Opportunities are plenty for those ready to accept the challenge.This opportunityThe Pricing Manager will be responsible for supporting critical commercial decisions such as product / device pricing, responses to competitor moves, and understanding commercial impacts to offers we've put into market. The role is responsible for generating insights and information to help the overall team shape and manage customer acquisition as well as retention campaigns. The role requires sharp analytical abilities, excellent communication skills and strong strategic marketing knowledge to become an expert in Vodafone's pricing area. This is a fantastic opportunity to use initiative in a market that is ever changing and to help drive strategies that impact the commercial direction of Vodafone.Responsibilities
- Overall, driving pricing and commercial decision-making for the Vodafone Post-paid portfolio; predominantly in relation to plan pricing, handset pricing and multi-service bundles
- Coming up with pricing recommendations for tactical offers, new device / product launches and any planned activities to stimulate growth (acquisition and retention)
- Presenting recommendations, commercial analysis and trading updates to key stakeholders (both within the direct team and other key parties including Finance)
- Prepare and present weekly performance reporting packs as required
- Conduct research and analysis to generate insights into competitor activity, performance of past offers and customer behaviours in order to help shape propositions that will stimulate growth for the business
- Monitoring profitability, both from a handset device margin and average plan value perspective, to allow effective recommendations to both maximise profitability and meet budgetary targets
- Develop an understanding of the product, including the extent of our capabilities and constraints, in order to better inform meaningful tactical and product recommendations
- Liaising with the Go To Market function, such that the commercial decisions made are able to be effectively executed.
- Analytical and attention to detail with a commercial focus
- Strong communication / presentation skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to deal with rapid change and quick pace with resilience and a can-do attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills, with strong stakeholder impact and influence skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint. Includes strong level of competence in creating, managing and maintaining scenario modelling in Excel
- Ability to deconstruct complex analytical problems into an easy-to-digest format for key stakeholders in the decision-making process
- Degree qualified, ideally in business, economics, finance/accounting
