Commencing in July 2024, this fixed term position (Term 3 & Term 4, 2024) provides an opportunity for a creative and highly talented primary teacher to join the dynamic Junior School teaching team. The successful candidate will be engaged with the latest pedagogical research and able to model highly effective and evidence-based practice that supports and challenges all students. They must be a reflective practitioner who values the importance of developing their craft through continued professional learning.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding of primary aged children (from Prep to Year 6)
- Values of excellence, integrity, collaboration and compassion
- Ability to relate to young people and families
- A deep understanding of ‘Relational Learning’ and the key elements that enable successful educational outcomes for boys
- Ability to work co-operatively with other school staff, parents and specialists to promote the education and wellbeing of students
- Knowledge of synthetic phonics and/or the Little Learners Love Literacy program (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
