We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation. As a vital member of our Clinic department located in South Hedland, you will play a key role in providing high-quality healthcare services to the local community.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the clinic setting.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Participate in health promotion and education activities for patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to relevant clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices and service delivery within the Organisation.
**Main Tasks:**
- Provide direct nursing care, including wound dressing, vaccinations, and health assessments.
- Support doctors and other healthcare professionals during medical examinations and procedures.
- Collaborate with community members to promote culturally sensitive healthcare practices.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
This is a permanent full-time position that requires an AHPRA registered practitioner with a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the health outcomes of Aboriginal communities. **Desired Skills and Experiences:**
- Have Registered Nurse qualifications;
- Have current and unrestricted APHRA registration with at least 3 years post graduate experience in nursing;
- Have recent experience in midwifery/paediatric or Primary Health Care in an Aboriginal Medical Service setting;
- Be immunisation certified.
