Primary Music Teacher K-6 (Maternity Leave Position)
Part-Time (0.8 FTE, Full-time Negotiable)
Commencing Term 3, 2024
The College is currently seeking to appoint a talented and dynamic Primary Music Teacherto join our team of committed professionals. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with their faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:
- relevant education and music qualifications;
- relevant instrumental and vocal experience; particularly the ability to teach beginner violin to Stage 2
- experience in working with and leading musical ensembles, including primary and secondary string ensembles.
- experience in conducting;
- a strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education and the Christian development of students;
- the propensity to innovate;
- the capacity to develop programmes that differentiate learning opportunities for students;
- experience in the use of data to deliver academic improvement; and
- a commitment to teamwork, transparent practice, and collaboration.
Candidates shortlisted for interview will be expected to provide a Working With Children Check clearance number or clearance letter.
