If so, we want to hear from you!We have an exciting full-time opportunity available for an experienced Food Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our high performance team at Brisbane Airport.What does a typical day look like?You will be responsible for supporting the National GM, Food Safety & Compliance and Business Manager, in maintaining compliance to all Food Safety, auditing, and Halal certification. You will be required to work in all parts of the operation and to provide advice, education and training to employees at all levels.In a nutshell, what are you main responsibilities?
- Conduct Compliance audits in conjunction with the Food Safety / Quality Assurance Manager.
- Record all findings from Compliance audits, and report back to the Food Safety / Quality Assurance Manager, Unit Manager and relevant Team Leaders with the results of the audit, ensuring agreed actions and remedies are documented/ delivered to address findings.
- Assist in conducting relevant sections of the induction process, in conjunction with the OHS Specialist, and ensure all staff are inducted in accordance with Company and legislative requirements.
- Provide specialist Food Safety/ HACCP, Halal advice to external/internal stakeholders as required.
- Investigate, report, and analyse customer complaints, including food poisoning allegations and other safety investigations and supplier non-conformances.
- Maintain current knowledge of all State and Federal Food Safety legislations (Acts, Regulations, and Compliance Codes etc) by accessing regular updates, attending any relevant seminars and networking
- Coordinate and conduct adhoc and scheduled internal Food Safety/ HACCP and supplier audits and reports
- Report and identify areas of improvement so dnata catering is not exposed to any financial of operational risks associated with non-compliance in Food Safety/ HACCP, Halal and Environmental matters
- Coordinate microbiological testing program and analysis of results.
- Pro-actively address performance issues, by identifying areas of non-conformance, their root cause, and supporting preventative actions
- Provide advice, support and in-depth hands-on training to develop skills and confidence in the team to effectively manage Food Safety/ HACCP and risk prevention in their respective areas of responsibility
- Previous experience and demonstrated success in a similar role
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or similar discipline
- Food Safety Auditing (Internal and External)
- HACCP Qualification
- Prior experience in a large food manufacturing environment involving QA, HACCP, Food Safety
- Prior experience in working within a team
- Prior knowledge / experience in ISO22000:2018 certification
