About the Department of Education

About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Provide high level advice and support to senior officers of Early Childhood and State Schools Division and other senior officers within the department on policy and strategy relating to state schools.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of Early Childhood and State Schools Division priorities for all students in state schools.
* Contribute, as a member of the senior management team, to setting the strategic direction for the branch and ensuring the effectiveness of policies, standards and procedures.
* Coordinate and contribute to the strategic direction and activities as defined in priorities set by senior management.
* Provide ongoing evaluation of the activities and work practices within the functional area of the position to ensure alignment with changing corporate goals.
