Your Key Accountabilities will include:

• Research, develop and implement policy, systems and initiatives, aligned to legislative compliance and strategic health and safety system frameworks.
• Collaborate to deliver strategic guidance and support in the development of Safety and Wellbeing strategies, methodologies and policies aligned to the organisational goals.
• Provide high quality advice and support on workers' compensation liability, premium, statutory and common law matters.
• Deliver health, safety and compensation statistical and analytical performance reports and extracts and provide analysis and advice on the implications and impact of initiatives including risk and impact analysis.
• Research, formulate, evaluate and advise on issues and proposals relating to workers' compensation and common law, liability and other legislative matters.
• Develop Cabinet and ministerial submissions, executive briefs and review proposals on workplace health and safety issues and initiatives.
• Provide advice to all levels of management, health and safety advisors and QPS members.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and liaise and negotiate with staff in the QPS health and safety consultative network and other internal and external stakeholders.
