About the role:- Provide technical leadership and governance across a range of multidisciplinary projects with a focus on the civil engineering discipline
- Providing technical leadership for the civil engineering function within the local WSP business while contributing more broadly across our Australian offices and projects as required.
- Engage in business development and client liaison with mining clients and local authorities including preparation of bids.
- Provide mentoring to junior civil engineering staff.
- Help maintain, enhance and uphold best practice Quality Assurance processes across the team
- Undertake project management or discipline lead roles for major multidisciplinary projects requiring civil engineering leadership; and
- Supporting the wider mining infrastructure team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents.
About you:- You must have experience in a consultancy environment in the area of civil engineering with experience designing site water management systems, mine site infrastructure projects, water management structures, road and drainage infrastructure design
- Bachelors degree Civil Engineering or relevant qualification with at least 15 years relevant post graduate experience;
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
- Ability to build relationships, develop business and manage teams of engineers; and
- Experience in managing scope of multiple projects varying complexity and size.
