Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you'll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.About the role:
  • Provide technical leadership and governance across a range of multidisciplinary projects with a focus on the civil engineering discipline
  • Providing technical leadership for the civil engineering function within the local WSP business while contributing more broadly across our Australian offices and projects as required.
  • Engage in business development and client liaison with mining clients and local authorities including preparation of bids.
  • Provide mentoring to junior civil engineering staff.
  • Help maintain, enhance and uphold best practice Quality Assurance processes across the team
  • Undertake project management or discipline lead roles for major multidisciplinary projects requiring civil engineering leadership; and
  • Supporting the wider mining infrastructure team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents.
About you:
  • You must have experience in a consultancy environment in the area of civil engineering with experience designing site water management systems, mine site infrastructure projects, water management structures, road and drainage infrastructure design
  • Bachelors degree Civil Engineering or relevant qualification with at least 15 years relevant post graduate experience;
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Ability to build relationships, develop business and manage teams of engineers; and
  • Experience in managing scope of multiple projects varying complexity and size.
