Form of workIncreasing demand for engineering services has created an exciting opportunity for a Senior to Principal level Civil Engineer to join our Mining Infrastructure Engineering team in Newcastle, Singleton or Sydney. This is a great career opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team who are focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients across a range of market sectors.What you’ll do:Supporting and leading civil proposals
Lead civil and multi-disciplinary design projects and studies
Meet with established and new clients to take briefs and work with them to develop scopes and solutions that address their needs and requirements
Be an integral part of our team of engineers to manage and deliver a broad range of Civil Engineering projects, including mining infrastructure, roads, earthworks, dams and drainage work
Acting as a guide to foster and develop graduate and mid-level engineers technical and consulting skills
Project and design management
Supporting the wider Resources team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents
About you:Proven local experience in a consultancy environment in the area of Civil Engineering, ideally in the mining/water/industrial sector
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
Experience with mining or industrial infrastructure projects
Experience mentoring junior members of the team
An experienced Civil Engineer with technical skills within water management infrastructure design and engineering (regulated structures, surface water drainage, dams, creek diversions, levees, open channels, operational mine water management)Design and project management experience through the life cycle of design projects including undertaking studies, preparing concept and detail designs, design delivery and construction phase support
Extensive knowledge of civil design skills in the area of water management infrastructure, and other Civil Engineering services;Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
