Principal Consultant / BU Manager - Energy (Transmission, BESS, Hydro)

Opportunity: 

A boutique consultancy providing Systems Engineering, Asset Management and HSEQ Management consulting expertise to highly regulated markets seeks to invest and grow a newly created energy consulting division. 

This opportunity represents a truly exciting prospect in a buoyant market, and the MD fully supports it and its investments. 

Purpose: 

The position provides technical consulting expertise in either of the following disciplines: Systems Engineering, Asset Management or HSQ Management to clients in the energy sector, including Energy governments, Network Operators, Energy Companies, and Construction companies. 

Projects of interest include Power Transmission, BESS and Pumped Hydro Projects. 

About you: 

You have a technical and commercial mindset with plenty of get-up-and-go. You thrive on challenges and are a natural networker, able to forge meaningful relationships and build rapport that results in new and repeat business. 

You may have thought about setting up independently but don't want the risk of being a solo operator. Or your current role is becoming mundane with too much red tape to cut through, and you prefer an autonomous and empowered environment. 

You are driven and ambitious. Your goal is to establish a team in which you will become the National General Manager/ Managing Director with full support from the MD. 

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a senior or Principal Consultant (or similar) in the energy market in one or more disciplines: Systems Engineering, Asset Management or HSEQ Management. 
• Previous experience as a senior Principal Consultant in the energy sector in one or more Power Transmission, BESS, and Pumped Hydro. 
• You have a presence in the energy sector and can open doors to new opportunities - you are fearless in networking and building relationships. 
• You enjoy providing advisory services to a broad range of clients. 
• You can use various online platforms to bid and tender new work. 
• You can leverage current and existing relationships to win new work.
• You have leadership qualities and can recruit and lead a team of consultants. 
• You are ambitious, motivated and excited by the prospect of owning a slice of an already established and successful business with full backing.
• Ability to service clients across the East Coast
