The Analytics Division is comprised of two core branches, Business Intelligence, and the Data Centre of Excellence, which together, are responsible for supporting the integrity of the revenue system by providing advanced data analytics and business intelligence services across QRO and external client groups.
This role sits within the Data Centre of Excellence team and would suit candidates who's previous experience has had a strong focus on technical expertise, balanced with strong analytical skills. As the Principal Data Modeller, you will apply your expertise in software development skills to maintain and enhance QRO's data platform and applications, working collaboratively with other developers, analysts, modellers, and stakeholders to support the organisations' core data platform and suite of applications.
As the Principal Data Modeller, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing data models and applications, resolve defects including production support and project related enhancements.
- Undertaking complex analysis and development activities in a range of technologies
- Designing, configuring, and developing data models, analytical applications and data applications, experience in SAP Analytics/Microsoft Azure Analytics/Databricks is preferred.
To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in large scale projects related to one or more of the following areas: Enterprise data warehouse, data lake, analytical application, data application, and machine learning.
- Understanding and working knowledge of SQL, agile process, data modelling, business modelling and data flow development in Data Warehouse utilising different data sources.
- Knowledge of CI/CD development practices such as Git, Jenkins.
- Experience with the tools such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse, Data Bricks, SAP HANA 2.0 XSA.
