- Provide high level clinical and managerial leadership for the senior Dental Assistants at the Oral Health Centre.
- Contributory responsibility for mandatory training, infection control and sterilisation standards and practises for all Dental Assistants at the Oral Health Centre.

- Demonstrated high level of dental assisting and clinical knowledge, expertise and skill across multiple specialties for patient s of all age groups.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage groups of Dental Assistants and ability to apply those skills within public sector oral health services.
- Ability to utilise a high level of skill in planning, implementation and monitoring of projects and activity to meet the strategic goals of the Oral Health Centre.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to develop a commitment to effective teamwork by team members involved in service development and quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrated high level communication, consultative and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and liaise with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of or an ability to acquire knowledge of procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, in particular Public Sector Guidelines, and a knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.
