Access theSome of your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the delivery of a program of planning and design projects through the implementation of best practice to achieve value for money outcomes for transport infrastructure projects.
- Supervise and coordinate resource allocation to component projects and services which support the transport infrastructure functional areas in the Region to encourage teamwork and staff development.
- Undertake the management and review of external design consultancies provision of design services.
- Use professional judgement to provide advice and support in relation to design processes ensuring projects meet technical design outcomes in areas where there is a lack of precedent.
- Use initiative when implementing/using relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation, and that quality management is consistent with the required standards.
- When managing component projects, you will utilise broad problem solving on strategic planning and design processes aligned with the relevant phases of corridor planning, program development, program delivery, and program finalisation.
- Develop effective relations with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address needs, expectations and issues that may affect the successful delivery of projects.
