If you’re an innovative and forward-thinking leader who values collaboration and wants to contribute to fair outcomes for tenants and consumers, then DEMIRS is the agency for you.The roleOur growing Conciliation and Services Directorate is responsible for conciliation and trader intervention activities, assisting businesses and consumers to resolve disputes remedying improper practices, and bonds administration for tenants and landlords.The new Commissioner Determinations function will implement key aspects of recent legislative reforms designed to enable tenants to make their rental a home and to provide an accessible and streamlined alternative to court for bond disputes.As a Principal Determination Officer, you will contribute to the development of the new Commissioner Determinations function within Consumer Protection, ensuring the fair and transparent determination of disputes.You will lead and coach your new team as they provide excellence in customer focussed and effective determination activities under Consumer Protection legislation. You will also develop and implement systems and procedures to achieve efficient and effective service delivery.Your key responsibility will be to manage your team's determination activities and lead complex assessments.
