About the role

Our Finance team is currently seeking a Principal ERP System to oversee the design input and testing for the SAP ECC conversion to SAP S4 Hana across the business including integration with non-SAP applications. Reporting to the General Manager Finance, you will lead and manage the business interfaces across the various functions to support simplification of business processes. Specifically, this will include the design of business processes, systems, and controls for business functions to ensure these are simplified and fit for purpose to promote better compliance with legislation, statutory reporting, and taxation obligations.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate documentation of business requirements for various functions across the business, system design, test scenarios, and other information to support the design, build, testing, and conversion from SAP ECC to SAP S4 Hana
• Standardise and simplify SAP system change request documentation, user acceptance testing (UAT) approach and associated training materials for core business processes
• Work closely with business process owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to lead the scoping and specification of business requirements, as well as contribute to the solution design and testing approach for S4 Hana conversion, changes to existing SAP functional modules and integration with non-SAP application
• Lead and manage business process simplification within CFO group functions and facilitate process mapping and documentation updates for key business processes
• Coordinate periodic reviews of accounting and finance specification, manuals, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with statutory and reporting obligations
• Respond to questions regarding systems and internal controls relevant to finance, accounting, and tax matters and audits in consultation with the General Manager Finance
• Liaise with equity or joint venture partners and other key stakeholders within and outside of finance to establish and document group business requirements for S4 Hana conversion

Skills and experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Technology Systems
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and build positive working relationships
• Previous experience with implementation and maintenance of SAP ERP systems or equivalent tier 1 ERP systems
• Experience with SAP S4 Hana conversion or implementation would be highly desirable
• Substantial SAP ERP or equivalent tier 1 systems experience working within a mining company
• Practical knowledge of current Australian statutory and regulatory requirements including IFRS and tax
