About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic Cytology laboratory team who works together to provide quality care to clients and patients of SydPath, Anatomical Pathology. We are recruiting for a passionate, dynamic, skilled, and committed Cytology Hospital Scientist to join our team. We are seeking those with the motivation to learn, develop and contribute to all areas of Cytology/Anatomical Pathology.

About you:
We welcome applications from people who have recent experience both Gynaecological and Non-Gynaecological Cytology with a willingness to learn and grow in this role. Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. A Bachelor of Science Degree and Australian Society of Cytology CT (ASC) certificate.
3. Demonstrated current cytology Laboratory experience and a sound theoretical knowledge of Cytotechnology.
4. Demonstrated ability and experience in both gynaecological and general cytology specimens screening and preparation.
5. Demonstrated understanding of Cytology laboratory procedures.
6. Demonstrated customer focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and clinical and laboratory staff, along with report writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate policies and procedures.
7. Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and high level of detail in all allocated tasks.
8. Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
