This exciting, new role will lead a small team of heritage professionals to deliver excellent heritage outcomes for the Blue Mountains in the development assessment context, and more broadly across statutory and strategic planning settings. This supervisory role within the City Planning team, will contribute to the management and protection of the approximately 1000 locally listed heritage items and highly intact heritage conservation areas within the City of the Blue Mountains.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed heritage professional with strong people skills, to build on the work of the heritage team to date, working closely with community and other areas of Council. The successful candidate will be able to positively balance the challenges of working in heritage in the local government context, and the extensive opportunity to influence the long term conservation of the heritage values of the Blue Mountains.
Full time role with flexible work arrangements available to a minimum of 4 days per week (30 hours per week).
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $107,288 gross per annum
+ 11% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
