Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Principal Highway Engineer, we'll count on you to:
Serve in a senior technical role on complex highway planning, design and design & construct projects
Client liaison and relationship management
Overseeing and undertaking the production of technical reports and construction documents.
Proficiency in design and documentation with comprehensive understanding of Australian and local standards
Conducting technical reviews & verification of projects and contracts
Preparing project reports as required and liaise with clients and internal teams.
Overseeing or undertaking project management tasks associated with projects including reporting on job progress and work recording ensuring quality is maintained and technical risks are managed.
Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering
Accredited as an Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or Victorian Registered Professional Engineer (RPEng)
Eligible for Chartered membership of Engineers Australia
12+ years design experience managing various civil/site design projects
