Looking for an opportunity to create balance in your work and non-work life? Here it is: seeking a very experienced Flood Modeller keen on agency.
Looking to escape a tier one? ..escape the admin and paperwork, the checking and cross-checking? This privatey owned group with super reputation is a no-brainer ..Here is a snapshot on projects on now:
- Large, complex flood mapping projects for Melbourne Water - multiple
- Flood studies for various councils
- Flood mitigation, prioritisation and assessment projects
Smaller projects? .. not really, there's plenty there!
The company
A specialist water consultancy. An employee owned group offering flexibility, an environment supportive of professional development and autonomy to manage your own time.
This is a business of circa 80 staff who operate across 6 offices within Australia and offer a variety of water solutions to Melbourne Water, Catchment Management Authorities, VicRoads and other state bodies, regional and local councils as well as developers and other private sector clients.
The reason for the vacancy
The group is growing. They have an expanding project portfolio in their flooding team in Melbourne’s CBD. This is a role suited to someone who can competently model using TuFlow, RORB.
You
You'll have done this for many years so you'll know how the average day goes. You know you'll need a degree, experience from a consulting environment, experience with a range of modelling software including TUFLOW, RORB and some really good report writing skills.
What’s in it for you?
This role is best suited to someone wishing to join a specialist water resources group, a group that’s grown from boutique roots to now be servicing clients Australia wide.
You’ll either be looking for a step into a more niche role (perhaps you’ve come from an urban development consultancy or a larger multi-disciplinary group) with a tighter service offering and greater emphasis on all things ‘water’ or upwards into a more senior role.
There's a 9 day fortnight available as an option, there's 2 days WFH as an option, there's a social club (also optional) and a lovely group of like-minded (not always similar) people coming together for a common purpose.
Equity options exist for all.
Will it suit me?
The role suits someone with between 10 and 25 years’ experience. It would happily work for someone looking for a group of budding engineers seeking mentorship and guidance (from you).
