To support us on our journey, we are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to fill the newly created position of Principal Inclusion and Diversity Consultant, who will play a pivotal role in driving our organisation's commitment to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture. You will lead strategic initiatives, collaborate across departments, and champion efforts that promote diversity, foster inclusion, and ensure equity throughout our organisation.
Position Profile and Role:
Reporting to the Manager for Culture and Inclusion, you'll draw on your deep subject matter expertise in best practices and research to partner, influence, and coach leaders across both clinical and corporate divisions to develop and translate the CAHS Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) framework into action.
The role will sit within the Organisational Development Team and will work closely across Human Resources to embed equity and inclusion into HR people processes and foster strong stakeholder relations with the Consumer Engagement Team and other key stakeholders; to better understand our diverse consumer needs.
The position requires a strong track record of facilitating EDI activities and provide expert advice and leadership to a wide range of stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic direction and advice to executive and senior management in relation to CAHS workforce diversity and inclusion strategies, plans and activities to increase organisational diversity and encourage a culture of equity and inclusivity.
  • Reviewing and evaluating of CAHS workforce diversity and inclusion policies and processes, including consideration of the impact and implementation of policy.
  • Leading on the design and delivery of projects to manage the execution of culture, Inclusion and people experience initiatives.
  • The use of data and insights to develop strategic initiatives and to report our progress internally and externally (including regulatory reporting).
  • CAHS-wide engagement activities to improve workforce diversity and Inclusion and learn from our consumer partners to progress the EDI agenda across our consumer services.
  • Building EDI capability of people leaders and key stakeholders.
