Principal Managed Aquifer Recharge Delivery

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Managed Aquifer Recharge Delivery who will be responsible for leading the integration of diverse business functions and collaborating with delivery partners to ensure the successful execution of a significant Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) portfolio. This position is critical as MAR becomes an increasingly utilised tool in shifting our approach to water management across our Pilbara operations. The Principal will focus on enhancing partnerships, optimising process, and promoting excellence to deliver a structured, considered, and effective MAR program.

Reporting to the Manager Water Strategy, key responsibilities include:

  • Portfolio Management: Ensure the Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) portfolio is actively maintained and aligned with business priorities to facilitate strategic planning
  • Project Sponsorship: Serve as an active project sponsor for all MAR projects, employing best practices, and creating essential guidance materials such as playbooks
  • Capability Development: Lead the advancement of both technical and delivery skills within the team, enhancing overall capability
  • Leadership Contribution: Actively participate in RTIO's water leadership, contributing insights and strategies for effective water management
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Forge and maintain strong connections with both internal and external stakeholders, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation in water management
  • Continuous Learning: Commit to ongoing personal and professional development, keeping pace with the latest advancements in water management technologies and regulatory changes
  • Values Alignment: Uphold and exemplify the Rio Tinto values of Care, Courage, and Curiosity in all aspects of your role

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a related science/engineering discipline (water focused study experience considered advantageous)
  • A current manual WA Driver's license

Where you will be working

You will be Perth based with opportunity to work flexibly from home combined with time in our Central Park offices. The team actively encourages and supports flexible work. This includes workdays, hours, and location, in addition to flexible and part-time work schedules. Occasional site travel will be required.
