As the Principal Management Accountant, you will be working in a complex area with large volumes of data while providing critical support around financial performance, budget management and funding to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data analysis and reporting around capital projects.
- Provide high-level strategic advice to support critical areas and senior managers around management reporting, governance and proposals.
- Support with the development of management accountabilities to ensure compliance with the department's financial management framework.
- Undertake detailed financial analysis work. This will require working through huge volumes of data while working to understand and interpret the data to better support the department.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support budget planning and resource allocation.
- CPA or CA
- Experience working in a similar position across capital projects.
- Extensive experience in management accounting and financial reporting demonstrated in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, Power Bi and financial modelling.
