We are looking for a Principal Consultant that is interested in a mix of billable, presales and productive work. To be considered for this role, you must have worked as a Senior Billable Professional Services Engineer in the past at a major Systems Integrator(s) in Australia for more than 5 years.
The work is flexible, and we are looking candidates located in NSW, with the office being located at Macquarie Park and key customers throughout Sydney. candidates based in the East Cast will also be considered.
What will keep you busy
- Billable Work – Consulting, Creation of High and Low Level Designs, Detailed Migration Strategies and Presentations, Build and Testing oversight with occasional hands on work, Project Technical Leadership and works oversight.
- Presales Work – Review and create SOWs and estimates, Work as a Tender participant or as the Technical Solution Lead in the presales process.
- Productive Work – Offering creation and product ownership, mentoring and coaching of other aspiring Architects, development of documentation standards and templates.

The skills you will bring;
Mandatory
- 8+ years equivalent full-time experience as a Network Architect
- Eligible to undertake security clearance to at least NV1 level
- Design and deployment experience of Cisco Leaf/ Spine Data Centre networks (NX-OS or ACI)
- Deep understanding and experience with routing and switching protocols including BGP EVPN
- Understanding of adjacent technologies such as compute/virtualisation, storage and security.
- Experience in leading large complex projects working with a large variety SMEs to get the delivery outcomes and outputs for Project Managers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 10+ years of IT industry experience.
Highly Desirable
- NV1 security cleared
- 15+ years of IT industry experience.
- Experience with VMware/Broadcom NSX, vSphere and related technologies
- Experience with firewall technologies
- Experience with other networking vendors such as Arista, Juniper and HP/Aruba
- Cisco CCIE Data Center or Enterprise Infrastructure certified
- Ability to automate tasks with tools e.g. Python or Ansible
- Product development and management.
