Access theSome of your key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the scoping, development, and implementation of complex ITS TN software and hardware upgrade projects.
  • Define and review ITS TN business requirements, firewall policies, network capacity, network scalability, network security traffic flow, and plan network segmentation.
  • Participate in the development of strategic business plans to ensure ITS network architecture and policies reflect current and future business requirements.
  • Provide integration and interoperability capability with internal systems, external transport authorities, and key support parties across interdependent technology platforms.
  • Support project managers across multiple ITS TN projects, including project procurement, project reporting, project implementation, and handover.
  • Prepare and deliver submissions and reports on planning and technical issues and identify appropriate mitigation strategies to overcome problems or obstacles related to the program of works.
  • Coordinate resource allocation for the program of works and services, supporting the team to deliver program requirements.
  • Prepare, maintain, and present ITS ICT network documentation, including the preparation and delivery of training modules.
About You
You are a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You have a knack for identifying and managing opportunities and touch points between projects and strategic projects. You are adept at project scoping, planning, and implementation.To thrive in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:
  • A Degree in Telecommunications, IT or equivalent (desirable)
  • Current Networking certification or equivalent industry certification with demonstrable skillset at or above this level.
  • Solid understanding of the OSI, TCP/IP model and network infrastructure protocols such as NTP, DNS etc.
  • Extensive technical background across multi-vendor (Cisco, Juniper, and so on.) environments and associated technologies, standards and best practices in WAN, LAN and wireless LAN and Data Centre environments.
  • Excellent understanding of IP networking technologies including routing protocols (BGP and OSPF), DHCP, First Hop Redundancy Protocols such as HSRP and VRRP, IP SLA etc.
  • Extensive Experience with Firewalls, NAT rule configuration, Intrusion Detection & Prevention (IDP), VPN and Network Security analysis.
  • Strong understanding of layer 2/3 switching technologies including spanning tree protocols (MSTP, RSTP and PVST) ethernet aggregation technologies and inter- operability of the layer 2/3 protocols between multi-vendor platforms.
  • Proven experience in ITS services physical & logical architectures and designs.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills coupled with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions to gain commitment from key stakeholders to support ideas or take action.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to foster continuous improvement in the efficiency of systems and technologies.
  • Proactively builds long-term working relationships with partners inside and outside the department.
