The Principal Software Architect is a technical leadership role, responsible for providing strategic and technical advice to the Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities

• Give advice on functional engineering best practices and help plan and execute the product and technology roadmap.
• Design and maintain scalable, flexible, and reliable Software Architecture for the platform.
• Lead and guide the software development team, ensuring they follow best practices.
• Ensure coding standards, security protocols, and relevant policies are followed in software development projects.
• Assist Engineering leadership in organizing engineering efforts.
• Work closely with other business functions (Product, Sales, Customer Experience) to enhance the overall product performance and experience.
• Promote engineering culture, fostering a fun and collaborative environment.
• Collaborate with other Honeywell business areas on strategic and cross-functional projects.
• Estimate tasks, meet milestones, and report progress to management.

Qualifications and Experience :

• 10+ years of experience in a Software Development Capacity
• Extensive experience providing technical direction and leadership
• Strong experience working with cross functional teams
• Strong experience developing complex projects with challenging timelines
• Experienced balancing short term results with long term strategy
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Experience in the commercial buildings, property SaaS space
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment experience
