About the school:
St Peter’s Primary School, located in the Inglewood/Bedford area just six kilometres north of the CBD, is a vibrant co-educational institution established by the Dominican Sisters in 1941. With an enrolment of approximately 750 students from Pre Kindy to Year Six, the school upholds the Dominican motto "Veritas" – Truth.
Our integrated curriculum, centred on Religious Education, encompasses the Western Australian Curriculum's concepts, knowledge, skills, and values, fostering critical and creative thinking, personal and social capabilities, and intercultural understanding. We offer specialist programs in Dance/Drama, Music, Physical Education, Visual Arts, Science, and Italian, alongside support and enrichment initiatives like MiniLit, MacqLit, and AQUINAS.
St Peter’s thrives on a strong partnership with families, cultivating a village-like culture and robust community spirit. This collaboration enhances teacher understanding of student needs, boosts home-school communication, elevates student morale and confidence, and fosters goodwill between parents and teachers. Our active P & F group further strengthens social ties and supports resource and facility improvements.
We maintain a close relationship with St Peter’s the Apostle Catholic Church, with the Parish Priest playing a pivotal role in supporting the school community. The Catholic School Advisory Council also contributes significantly, guiding various building and upgrading projects to ensure our facilities remain contemporary and conducive to learning.
