Position Details
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special EducationUnit Coordinator for our Special Education Support Centre. The primary objective of the Special EducationUnit Coordinator is to work collaboratively with staff and families to provide quality teaching and learning experiences that support the needs of students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties. A key aspect of this role is the coordination of inclusive educators and their liaison with teachers in the modification of classroom activities and assessment tasks. The Education Support Centre provides a learning environment for students daily. The Centre is staffed with a SWD Co-ordinator, SWD teacher and a team of highly dedicated Education Assistants.
This is a temporary position for commencing Term 3 (start date by negotiation) and concluding 31 December 2024 (with the possibility of ongoing).

Qualifications Required
• Relevant 4-year tertiary qualification in Primary Education
• Qualification in Students with Disabilities / Special Education (preferable by not necessary)
• Have CEWA Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School.
• Be able to demonstrate a successful record of teaching and administrative experience.
• On appointment successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check.
