The role
The Workforce Strategy Branch (WSB) is seeking talented individuals to join our team. As a member of WSB, you will have the opportunity to manage, develop, implement, and refine Workforce Planning methodologies. At WSB, we believe in the power of strategic thinking. As part of our team, you will provide high level strategic advice to departmental management and other key stakeholders on the Queensland public health system regarding Workforce Planning and reform issues. Your insights and recommendations will drive decision-making processes and ensure that Queensland's health workforce remains responsive, skilled, and sustainable.
In this role, you will manage and advise on objectives, guidelines, and policies for a diverse range of project leads across multiple Department of Health (DOH) and Hospital and Health Service (HHS) sites. Your ability to collaborate and influence will be crucial in driving effective project outcomes and ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services. The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
- Ability to successfully apply a project management approach to complex Workforce Planning and policy initiatives to achieve organisation wide outcomes.
- Highly developed skills in using other QH enterprise applications such as DSS, BPT, and MS applications such as Excel, Word, Project, Teams and Stream.
- Knowledge of health workforce issues, including the needs of key population and workforce groups, and the functions and operations of a complex health service delivery agency.
- Ability to develop, evaluate and deliver training plans and programs to meet the needs of end users.
- Knowledge of contemporary training techniques and online mediums and the ability to apply them to meet the needs of end users.
- Manage the strategic level expert quality assurance support function to the strategic Workforce Planning framework, resources and tools by responding to enquiries and providing advice on technical, data, business procedures and Workforce Planning methodologies.
