AddressOur client, located in Kilsyth, is a leading and major packaging manufacturer seeking a Printing Assisting to join their growing team in their prinitng department. The role is a temp to full-time position, with rotating shifts pattern required (2 weeks Day Shift / 2 weeks Afternoon Shift). An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
The role
- Set up, monitor & adjust the printing process using the control panel or computer.
- Prepare machines for priming and install the printing plate with the images to be primed.
- Ink the presses, load paper, and adjust the press to the required paper size.
- Adjust the flow of ink to the inking rollers, whilst managing the distribution, speed, and temperature in the drying chamber.
- Conformance and quality checking products once printed.
The successful candidate
- Experienced printer (previous Lithographic or KBA printers highly regarded).
- Able to work on a rotating 2-week roster (2 x Day Shift / 2 x Afternoon Shift) pattern.
- Strong attention to detail and have excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Team player and have a willingness to contribute to the success of the organisation.
- Physically fit and willing to perform manual handling tasks as required.
- Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and D&A assessment.
