The Private Rental Access Worker is a role within SA Housing Authority and is responsible for initiating and implementing early intervention and prevention strategies to assist SA Housing Authority customers to access and maintain accommodation in the Private Rental sector.

The role provides customers with information, advice, advocacy, negotiation, referral and support services in order to achieve sustainable tenancies. The role is responsible for conducting appropriate housing needs based assessments and other risk and vulnerability assessments, to enable customers' access to appropriate social housing and Private Rental services and to put in place or monitor any necessary safeguards identified and/or required.

Special Conditions

• Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Clearance prior to being employed.
• The successful applicant may be required to hold a current Australian issued Drivers Licence, which must be maintained.
• The incumbent in the role is a Mandated Notifier of child abuse under the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017.
• Some intrastate travel necessitating overnight absences may be required.
• Some out of hours work may be required upon activation of the Emergency Relief Functional Support Group.
