About the RoleReporting into the Manager of Technology & Improvement Minerals, Tronox is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Process Control Lead - Minerals.This is a senior leadership role managing the Operational Control Systems across the Minerals sites in Australia.The Lead will be accountable for supporting the Technology & Improvement (T&I) priorities via execution of effective Process Control solutions and strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, across multiple sites with experience working on Honeywell, Rockwell and Scada.Primary responsibilities for this role are:

• Responsible for optimum availability and functionality of the Process Control systems and applications
• Support Process Engineering teams in the development and programming of control sequences - utilizing standards developed for programming of PLC's, DCS and SCADA HMI packages
• Support Production teams in the implementation of Process Control models, strategies, and other methods
• Provides guidance, support, and direction to the Process Control Specialist/Engineer
• Manage 3rd party vendor SLA's for Control Systems
• Develop/update standards for any new/modified control system architecture
• Ensure change management practices are followed when altering the control system
• Provide input on new technologies considered and stay abreast of technology development and its application
• Execute capital projects, determining the cost of engineering, labour, equipment and materials for Process Control improvements
• Assist with operational implementation of the Process Control and infrastructure modifications and upgrades
• Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and project modifications

About you:Preferred candidates will have:

• Qualified with programming experience
• Proven track record leading teams and Process Control solutions
• Advanced data analysis knowledge and experience in Plant Control Systems/Programming (especially PLC's)
• Demonstrated ability for analytical capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to contribute to organisational change
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
