TRILITY is seeking either an experienced or trainee Process Controller to join our Campaspe Water Reclamation Scheme (CWRS) in Echuca, Victoria.
The role
As a Process Controller, you will be accountable for the performance of the wastewater treatment plants and projects. You will be part of the CWRS team which includes the Echuca and Rochester wastewater treatment plants and associated pump stations.
The role also requires the flexibility to be a part of a 1 in 4 on-call roster and the willingness to respond to telemetry alarms during when on call.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring of plant performance including all process equipment and responding to plant and process alarms
- Process control including ordering of chemicals and receiving deliveries, verifying documentation and liaising with the client
- Undertake maintenance activities (both planned and unplanned)
- Project management duties including liaising with suppliers and contractors, procurement of goods, materials and services, supervision of contractors, commissioning, risk assessments etc
- Conduct sampling and liaise with external laboratory as required
- Comply with TRILITY systems for Safety, Quality and Environment
- Keep up to date records across all areas
What we are looking for
We are seeking either an experienced Process Controller or an entry-level trainee. As a trainee you would be expected to study a Water Industry Certificate III in Wastewater Operations including studying during non-work hours. In return you will get a certification and the experience and qualifications to have a career in the water industry.
Skills and experience
- Either experience in the operation and maintenance of water/wastewater (or similar industries) or the willingness to study and learn
- Familiarity in use of PC’s and a range of software
- A current Australian Driver’s license
- Be able to work a 1 in 4 on-call roster
- Possess a high level of maturity, with the ability to make decisions with minimal direction and guidance
- A reliable team member and be an effective communicator with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Able to work independently for long periods
- Cert 3 in Water/Wastewater operations highly regarded
