About the role
Calvary Home Care is seeking a fixed term full time Occupational Therapist to join the team at the Hunter office. The role is predominantly community based with opportunities to facilitate group interventions and virtual care within Calvary sites.
Your main duties will include:
- Completing assessments with clients to understand their functional abilities and set goals.
- Plan interventions to achieve client goals and promote safety and independence.
- Assist with falls prevention, client safety and manual handling
About you
- AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrated experience as an Occupational Therapist, with strong knowledge of assessments, falls prevention and promoting ADL participation.
- Demonstrated experience with home modifications and assistive technologies to promote independence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to complete report writing and applications under various funding streams.
- Vast knowledge of manual handling best practise.
- Ability to work with other health care professionals to ensure a collaborative client centred approach.
