We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Process Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. This role is critical in designing, simulating, implementing, and optimizing electrochemical, electrical, and mechanical processes of our AEM electrolyzer system for the industrial-scale production of hydrogen and oxygen gases from water and renewable electricity sources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize balance of plant for AEM electrolyzer systems, including but not limited to power supplies, cooling systems, gas handling systems, and control systems
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and reliable performance of the AEM electrolyzer technology
- Design and develop advanced continuous flow processes for the electrochemical production of hydrogen and oxygen gases
- Develop and implement testing protocols to validate system performance, reliability, and safety
- Conduct process simulations, modelling, and analysis to optimize system performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and performance optimization through continuous evaluation and refinement of system design and general operations
- Collaborate with electrolyzer stack R&D and operational teams to translate design concepts into functional prototypes and production-ready systems
- Manage projects from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring they meet budget, timeline, and quality standards
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations
- Prepare technical reports, document process settings, and provide guidelines for plant operations
- Assist in selection and procurement of relevant plant equipment
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all aspects of system design and fabrication
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams, external partners, and customers as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, PhD preferred
- 5 years of experience in Process Engineering, specific experience in electrolysis or related fields such as oil and gas preferred
- Proficiency in process simulation software for simulation and modelling of entire system e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, MATLAB
- Strong understanding of the principles of electrochemistry, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics
- Experience with design, fabrication, and testing of industrial process equipment and systems
- Familiar with selection and procurement of plant equipments
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols related to electrolysis and chemical processing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to optimize system performance and efficiency
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
