The Opportunity
As a Process Engineer, your crucial role provides mechanical and electrical engineering and maintenance support to the production team. You will identify inefficiencies and recommend and implement process improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. This role is initially based in Seven Hills however will move to a brand new facility in Kemps Creek in late 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and reduce unplanned plant downtime.
- Identify, recommend, and implement approved process improvement plans.
- Ensure the safety and compliance to all WHS policies and procedures, and safety and quality standards of self and others on site.
- Works with Ardex Group Engineering to commission all new plant at Kemps Creek and relocate and commission existing equipment being relocated between plants.
- Provide mechanical and electrical support to the production teams for all downtime.
- Monitor the work of all engaged on-site contractors to ensure the completion of works to required standards.
- With the Production Manager, schedule and undertake preventive maintenance on all plant equipment to optimise plant uptime.
- Oversee and ensure the timely maintenance and rectification of all on-site plant and services.
- Liaise with the Landlord and external contractors for the provision and management of facility services and maintenance.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- Qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Successful completion of recognised study related to the areas of industrial automation, PLC programming and troubleshooting, and the use and maintenance of SCADA systems.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills, be computer literacy, with a very high personal drive.
- Exceptional time management skills and can work effectively and independently with deadlines.
