About the role
If you're an expert in procurement contract administration and eager to lead procurement activities within a flexible organisation, consider the Procurement Lead position. This key role involves collaborating closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure compliance with procurement strategy, annual procurement plans, and related processes. This is a great opportunity to join a highly respected, experienced, and supported team. The salary range is $82-95k, negotiable dependant on experience and qualifications.
Duties
- Administering, overseeing, and supporting internal and external stakeholders within a compliant procurement framework aligned with the Financial Management Act.
- Supervising and coordinating Accounts Payable activities to ensure timely payments to suppliers, while maintaining adherence to contractual requirements and organisational policies.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement strategies, plans, policies, procedures, and systems to facilitate effective and efficient service delivery.
- Providing support to financial delegates in the day-to-day operation of the procurement framework.
- Monitoring and maintaining oversight of contractors and suppliers by managing a contracts management system, register, and compliance tools to meet all contractual and statutory requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement administration and establishing contract management frameworks, processes, and practices.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end procurement activities, particularly in sectors like government, utilities, or construction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to the identify improvement opportunities.
- Exceptional time management abilities, showcased through the consistent meeting of deadlines and efficient handling of multiple tasks
