We are currently seeking a highly skilled commercial kitchen repair technician to join our team as a sub-contractor in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment for our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the industry and possess exceptional technical and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose, and repair a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment in either or all types: refrigeration, gas, electrical equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify equipment malfunctions and potential issues.
- Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to minimise downtime and optimise functionality.
- Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional customer service and offer recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and new technologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a commercial kitchen repair technician or similar role.
- Highly preferable to hold a gas licence to repair and install gas commercial kitchen equipment.
- Must have own reliable work vehicle and ABN
- Hold a valid Police & Working with Children's Check
- In-depth knowledge of various commercial kitchen equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, willing to travel across Victoria and on-call shifts as required.
