The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Procurement and Lease Officer to join our dynamic Procurement and Fleet Management team.

In this exciting and varied role, you will provide direction, advice and guidance on procurement matters in accordance with procurement policies and procedures across the Department. You will also be positive, adaptable and enjoy working as part of a team committed to delivering excellent service in a fast-past paced environment.

Currently there is one fixed term, full-time position available for immediate filling with the possibility of extension or permanency.

We require you to submit:

  1. A detailed CV that clearly outlines the skills and experience you have gained in relation to the job description; and
  2. A written statement (maximum two (2) pages) addressing only the following selection criteria (SC):
  • (SC1) Demonstrated knowledge and experience in either a leasing, finance or contract management environment.
  • (SC2) Demonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise, negotiate and interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • (SC3) Demonstrated analytical, research and investigative skills, including the ability to resolve problems within a leasing, contract management, or financial context.
  1. The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant’s ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work-Related Requirements. Applicants should nominate at least one immediate (most contemporary) supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.

What is a recruitment pool?

This is a pool recruitment process; we use recruitment pools to build a bank of talent who we feel might be suited to future opportunities within the Department of Transport. You may join us on a full-time, part-time, fixed term or permanent basis however an appointment is not guaranteed.

This pool process can be used to fill other part time and full-time positions that may arise over the next twelve months.

The recruitment pool will remain open for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of first appointment. 

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months.
