The Procurement Commercial Manager will be primarily responsible for the managing a number of procurements related to the Future Operating Model
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Procurement Strategies compliant with Territory laws, policies and guidelines.
- Work with the Program Manager to ensure plans have achievable schedules.
- Manage procurement processes including market approaches, assembling assessment teams and preparing briefs.
- Prepare Statements of Requirements.
- Undertake market research and supplier evaluations.
- Field and manage candidate questions during market approaches.
- Provide probity advice, briefings and related services.
- Work with the ACT Government Solicitor to prepare contracts.
- Provide contract negotiation services for each procurement as required.
- Maintain and administer contracts, agreements and statements of work.
- Provide progress reports as directed.
This role is ideal for a seasoned commercial professional who has undertaken several large procurements in a Government setting for digital / ICT solutions.
- Degree in business administration, contract law or a minimum Cert IV in Procurement and Contracting.
- Experience in a wide range of Government digital / ICT procurements – either at the Commonwealth or State/Territory jurisdictional levels.
- A strong and recent background in negotiating, executing and managing contracts with multinational vendors.
- Highly effective communicator with the ability to produce high quality products.
