Currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.About the roleAs a Procurement Manager, you will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the procurement and contract management functions. In addition, your key duties are as follow:
- Working collaboratively with business areas as a procurement business partner, and managing a team to develop market approach documentation, evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts.
- Lead an integrated approach to identifying procurement requirements early in the process, including supporting the planning activities within the wider team.
- Ensure procurement activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements
- Deliver support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Agency policies and procedures.
- Manage regular policy and process reviews for continuous business improvement
- Ensure corporate contracts are managed effectively and deliver value for money outcomes.
- Proven experience in a similar procurement role, ideally within a leadership capacity
- Federal or State Government experience is a must!
- Relevant qualifications in Commonwealth Procurement is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain composed in a changing, fast paced environment
- 12-month temporary assignment
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- $602.55 per day + super
- Immediate start pending clearances
- Brisbane, QLD location
