We’re currently seeking a General Manager, Procurement and Supply.
This role will provide group level accountability for the development of Procurement and Supply strategies, processes and operations to drive consistency, efficiency and cost effectiveness acrossUnitingCare’s Hospital Group; The Wesley Hospital, St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, St Stephen’s Hospital Hervey Bay, Buderim Private Hospital.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Hospitals, you will:
- Lead the transformation of setting up and operationalising a Procurement and Supply organisation focused on Hospital specific spend categories while collaborating with the UCQ central procurement unit across common categories.
- Manage the overall leadership of the Supply and Procurement teams post set up
- Implement initiatives that will lower the costs of Procurement and Supply across UCH, ensuring efficient and effective contracting, supply and billing processes
- Drive common standards, policies and frameworks across the Hospital Group to standardise and rationalise spend and maximise value generation
- Work closely with the central Procurement function representing the Hospital Group needs, to develop and implement strategies, processes and operations of whole UCQ categories (e.g. food, linen, energy, facilities management etc)
- Work with and support small volume purchasing for other UCQ Business Units
- Establish positive and collaborative relationships with key Hospital Executives, broader enterprise stakeholders (internal functional representatives and VMPs) and Clinicians to drive procurement, purchasing and Supply outcomes
- Lead the development and implementation of group wide prosthetic and Supply usage and reporting systems and processes to provide transparency and visibility to the Hospital teams
What makes a difference for us?
Essential:
- Degree qualified in health related or business\operational management or
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply, Procurement or Purchasing
- Extensive experience in Procurement and Supply in a private hospital setting
- Driving and leading significant change and transformational efforts
- Experience leading diverse teams, ideally prior experience leading leaders of teams
- Experience engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:
- Previous system implementation
- Data analytics
