We have become an employer of choice with the average tenure of our staff being greater than 20 years. However, a new opportunity has arisen for a high achieving Procurement Manager with bold new ideas to join our ranks as a valued team leader.
The role will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will lead and mentor the procurement team from our head office in Silverwater.

The skills & experience you will need to succeed:
- Good English language communication and negotiation skills are essential in order to liaise with local and overseas suppliers in Eurasia and the USA, Australian shipping agents and when communicating with fellow team mates;
- Extensive, hands-on, best practise experience in all areas of procurement including: purchase orders, product consumption and replenishment analysis, shipment tracking, customs clearance, landed costing and assisting with warehousing in the end-to-end logistics process;
- A thorough understanding of container management and costing utilising a modern ERP system and intermediate skills in MS Excel;
- Proven experience in shipment cost savings through more efficient shipment management which aligns with our pre-determined budgeted cost targets;
- Attention to detail with a very organised approach to ensure that strict shipment deadlines are tracked and met;
- Sound people management skills and knowing how inspire the best results from your team;
- An optimistic and positive “can do” attitude just to ensure it gets done.
