The Opportunity:
Due to ongoing growth, we are now looking for an exceptional Procurement Specialist to join our Global Procurement team located in Essendon Fields VIC on a full-time permanent basis. This is your chance to make your mark by setting new standards for best practice through innovative thinking whilst truly business partnering with our Visy Divisional Procurement teams!
Reporting to the Divisional Procurement Manager – Recycling & Corporate Services, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing and tendering requirements providing procurement leadership for a range of categories including IT, Marketing, Travel, Waste management, HR services, FM and other corporate services categories.
Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:
Drive the development of procurement best practices for the respective categories across the Visy business
Support Visy’s sustainability and circular economy ambitions
Development and deployment of sourcing strategy for the respective categories
Realisation of stakeholder management to maximize total cost of ownership & value beyond savings
Develop and implement supplier relationship management and contract management activities
Deliver compliance through policies, strategies, and processes
Deliver committed annual procurement / business savings targets
What you will bring to the team:
Tertiary qualified preferably in an Engineering, Commerce, Business, or Law discipline
Solid experience in a procurement sourcing role ideally with experience in the respective categories
Track record on project management experience
Proficient in preparing tender documents, managing commercial negotiations, and executing supply agreements
You pride yourself on your outstanding communications skills and it is your ability to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders from all levels that makes you a true enabler
