Your new Career
As the Product Design Development Manager you're instinctive, creative and have a knack for problem solving. You'll build the brand both locally and globally with your passion for innovation, delivering exceptional product design across the Travel category.
Key Responsibilities
Product creation process, from concept/design to production across a broad range of products within the brand.
Design travel product that meets the needs and wants of consumers and translate to functional prototypes.
Elevate (modernise) product vision and maintain/update a brand book.
Maintain up to date on current industry trends and market conditions.
Coordinate with designers to ensure accurate communication and efficiency in the design phase.
Set the product strategy and budget to achieve growth plans.
Establish and maintain design & development operations, processes and critical path.
Manage the supplier base and product quality.
Responsible for supplier sourcing, gross margin negotiation and lead times.
Manage a team of freelance Illustrators and Designers where required.
Collaborate with QA team for product suitability and compliance.
R&D trips domestically and internationally to stay ahead of trends.
Ensure products meet B2B and B2C requirements and campaigns.
About You
Relevant work experience as a product designer / brand manager in the travel industry.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent eye for aesthetic design and customer appeal
Good understanding of trend/colour
Artistic and innovative flair
Excellent attention to detail
Meticulous and diligent
Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends
