Job Description:
As a Product Development Assistant at Bayview Foods, you will be an integral part of our Product Development team, contributing to the creation and improvement of our food products. You will collaborate closely with our R&D specialists, chefs, and production teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and market appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in researching and developing new food product concepts aligned with market trends and consumer preferences.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and tests to refine product formulations for taste, texture, and consistency.
- Support the creation of prototypes and product samples for internal evaluations and customer presentations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients that meet our product specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of experiments, test results, and Product Development processes.
- Assist in scaling up recipes for production and conducting trials on the manufacturing floor.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements relevant to food Product Development.
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- Experience in Food Science, Hospitality, Nutrition, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment or Product Development role would be an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly.
- Passion for food innovation and Product Development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with food formulation software is a plus.
